Ken Blake

As Fractional Services Leader of Igloo’s Edmonton office, Ken plays a key role in bringing our assignments to successful outcomes.

Ken began his career in public practice with one of the Big 4 accounting firms, offering accounting, tax, strategy, and management consulting services. More recently, he spent twelve years with an engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance company with positions ranging from Controller to President. Ken mentored many people through his time with the firm and is well-regarded for his level thinking and approachable nature.

Ken is an Edmontonian, born and raised. He attained his Certified Management Accountant designation in 2001 and his Master of Financial Management in 2012. Ken has a proven ability to work either behind the scenes to support key executives who are faced with daunting growth issues, or through fractional involvement, temporarily bolstering the President or Chief Financial Officer position. He has successfully implemented management and financial reporting systems to improve the overall quality of numerous companies and has a proven ability to reach the true heart of the matter. Ken’s extensive experience also includes business acquisitions, property insurance, and establishing banking lines of credit and other loans.
In his free time Ken enjoys traveling and spending time with family and his dog, Wrigley.
